If you’ve read this far, you’re probably weighing something real — a business you’ve built, and whether now is the right time to sell.

We built Berngate because the sellers we spoke to kept telling us the same story: they had spent twenty or thirty years building something they cared about, and when it finally came time to sell, the process let them down. Wrong buyers. No structure. A broker who listed and disappeared.

We don’t think that’s right. A business is people, customers, a reputation, years of decisions that compounded into something worth protecting. The sale process should reflect that — not undermine it.
